We are the proud host of the Wild Wild West Hoedown, an annual fundraiser that supports a number of charities and not-for-profit organizations in York Region, Ontario, Canada, where our corporate headquarters is located.
It started out in 1987 as a backyard BBQ for friends and neighbours at a family farm in Aurora. Today the annual Wild Wild West Hoedown, founded by Magna Chairman Frank Stronach, has become a very popular community event. In 2007 the Hoedown celebrated its 20th anniversary. Over its 20-year history, the Hoedown has raised millions of dollars for local charities and has become the largest fundraising event in York Region. As the community has grown so has the Hoedown. Each year it is attended by thousands of local residents who enjoy the entertainment of great live country acts while supporting great causes. The Hoedown has featured such popular country artists as Jimmy Rankin, George Canyon, Barnard & Brohm, Karla Crawford, Prairie Oyster, Charlie Major, The Barra McNeils, The Good Brothers and Natalie McMaster.
